BIO 445 - Principles of Evolutionary Medicine (4) Introduction to the principles of evolutionary biology and their application to understanding human disease and medically relevant topics including the development of antibiotic resistance in pathogenic bacteria and an understanding of how viral evolution impacts vaccine production. Course restricted to biomedical sciences majors. Prerequisite(s): BIO 111 and BIO 341 or BIO 475, each with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
