ACC 3180 - Accounting Information Systems: Planning and Analysis

(3)
This course focuses on business modeling, data analytics and the integration of accounting systems with other information systems in the organization. Students should be capable of using the analytics and modeling skills acquired in this course in order to help analyze and develop modern, technologically relevant accounting information systems. The Systems Development Life Cycle is used as the course’s logical framework, while the Unified Modeling Language set of methodologies is used to model real-world business systems using databases, decision analysis and networking. (Formerly ACC 318)
Prerequisite(s): (ACC 210 or ACC 2100 ) and (MTH 122 or MTH 1222 ) or (MTH 154 or MTH 1554 ), with a minimum grade of 2.0 in each course.
