In-depth study of the tissues of the eye. Topics include visual transduction, light and dark adaptation, color vision, lens physiology and cataract, cornea, glaucoma, inherited retinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, physiological optics, and regulation of gene expression in ocular development. Prerequisite(s): (BIO 207 or BIO 2600 ) or (BIO 321 or BIO 3620 ) or (BIO 351 or BIO 3220 ) with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
