The course emphasizes theories of consumer behavior and their applications to areas such as the individual and market demand curves, supply of labor, inter temporal choice of consumption, tax and public policies, and decision-making under uncertainty. Also emphasizes general equilibrium welfare economics, issues relating to equity and efficiency, the nature of public goods and externalities, consumer protection, and property rights. Prerequisite(s): (ECN 303 or ECN 3030) with a minimum grade of 2.0.
