ECN 4090 - Urban and Regional Economics (3) Explores the application of microeconomic theory and empirical analysis to: residential choice and location of economic activities; migration patterns within and across states and metropolitan areas: major urban problems such as quality of life, transportation and optimum city size; urban sprawl; and Michigan’s economy. (Formerly ECN 409) Satisfies the university general education requirement for the capstone experience. Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in the major. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement. Generally offered fall semester of odd years. Prerequisite(s): (QMM 241 or QMM 2410 ) or (QMM 250 or QMM 2500 ) and (ECN 303 or ECN 3030 ) with a minimum grade of 2.0 in each course.
