EXS 4100 - Introduction to Personal Training

An introduction to the concepts used in personal training. Covers theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to prepare for a national certification exam in personal training. Topics include exercise testing, prescription, and leading, progression, individualization, goal-setting, logistics, client motivation, safety health promoting behaviors and effective communication. Cross list with EXS 5100. Offered summer semester. (Formerly EXS 470)
