PHY 1060 - Earth Science/Physical Geography

The earth: its structure, history, and the geography of its surface. Topics include the theory of continental drift, rocks and minerals, earthquakes, volcanoes, mountains, rivers, deserts, weather, climate, the geomagnetic field, and the earth’s resources. Identical with (GEO 106 or GEO 1060 ). (Formerly PHY 106) Satisfies the university general education requirement in the natural science and technology knowledge exploration area.
