Application of psychological theory and research to health promotion as well as illness prevention and treatment. The interaction between biological, social and psychological factors in health and medical problems is emphasized.  (Formerly PSY 345) Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in general education or the major, not both. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement.
Prerequisite(s): (PSY 250 or PSY 2500 ) with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
