ECN 3060 - Applied Time Series Analysis in Business

Introduces time series forecasting. The objective is to learn the basic theories and applications of forecasting using time series data in a variety of business disciplines. Building on the students’ prior knowledge of introductory statistics, the course adds on foundation in time series analysis for the purposes of learning the various forecasting techniques and evaluating real-world economic and financial forecasts. Students use advanced techniques including statistical software and databases (i.e., Bloomberg/ FRED) so they have hands-on skills in analyzing/assessing time series econometrics models.
Additional Requirement(s): minimum grade of (C) in each course
Prerequisite(s): QMM 2410  and (ECN 2020  or ECN 2000 )
