Requirements for the liberal arts minor in broadcasting
The liberal arts minor in broadcasting requires a minimum of 24 credits distributed as follows:

- JRN 338 - Digital TV News (4)
- COM 374 - Digital Video Editing (4)
- COM 375 - Rise of Electronic Media (4)
- COM 376 - Introduction to Television Production (4)
- COM 377 - Live Video Production (4)
- COM 378 - Television News Productions (4)
- COM 379 - Video Post Production (4)
- COM 381 - Broadcast Operations (4) /JRN 381 - Broadcast Operations (4)
- COM 382 - Advanced Radio Production (4)
- JRN 411 - Convergence Journalism (4)
Recommended for radio emphasis: COM /JRN 280 , COM 375 ,COM /JRN 381 , COM 382 , JRN 411
Recommended for television emphasis: JRN 338 , COM 374 , COM 375 , COM 376 , COM 377 , COM 378 , COM 379
Note
No more than 8 credits of course work used to satisfy the minor may be applied toward the major, but exceptions to this rule may be allowed with the written approval of the program directors. |
