Error analysis, roots of equations, direct and iterative solutions of systems of equations, optimization, finite difference methods, ordinary differential equations, curve fitting. Emphasis on programming techniques using Matlab; practical engineering analysis. Applications drawn from all areas of mechanical engineering.
