BIO 3520 - Introduction to Human Microbiology (4) Introduction to the biology of microorganisms emphasizing the infectious diseases they cause and their control. Bacterial, mycotic, protozoan and viral infections; immunology; epidemiology; pathogenic mechanisms; chemotherapy; microbial genetics; microbial growth; and microbial physiology. Required of students in the nursing program. Not open to students who have taken (BIO 319 or BIO 3500 ). (Formerly BIO 307) Prerequisite(s): (BIO 111 or BIO 1200 ) with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
