ECN 3740 - Economics of Intl Finance

Examines issues of balance of payments adjustment, exchange rate determination, and the open economy. Topics include: theories of payments and foreign exchange, causes of disturbances and processes of adjustments in the balance of payments of the foreign exchange market under alternative exchange rate regimes, international capital markets, foreign debt, monetary integration, and the international monetary system. The course may not be substituted for (FIN 419 or FIN 4190 ). (Generally offered winter semester of odd years) (Formerly ECN 374)
Prerequisite(s): [(ECN 201 or ECN 2010 ) and (ECN 200 or ECN 2000 ) or (ECN 202 or ECN 2020 )] or (ECN 210 or ECN 2100 ) with a minimum grade of 2.0 in each course.
