Basic preparation for interdisciplinary study. Students develop knowledge, skills and methods in interdisciplinary research on focused topics. Draws on humanities, natural sciences, social sciences and fine arts to prepare students for advanced work in liberal studies. (Formerly LBS 200) Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in general education or the major, not both. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement.
Prerequisite(s): (LBS 100 or LBS 1000) with a grade of 2.5 or higher.
