NRS 5021 - Vulnerable Populations and Social Issues (4 credits)
This course will focus on the concept of vulnerability and the role of nursing in meeting the health care needs of vulnerable populations. Developmental, social, cultural, racial, socioeconomic, political, and health care issues that predispose people to vulnerability, outcomes of vulnerability, and the cycle of vulnerability will be emphasized. Replaces NRS 4551 in RN/BSN program.
Prerequisite(s): Student must meet the prerequisite (NRS 3511) and be admitted to the RN/MSN program.
