ALS 5520 - Linguistics and Reading (4 credits)
Linguistic description and analysis of the process of getting meaning from print. Course will review competing linguistic models of the reading process and insights from first and second language acquisition, psycholinguistics, reading disorders and studies in writing. Formerly ALS 520.
