NRS 6667 - Advanced Nursing Care of Aging Adults

(6 credits)

This course focuses on the concept of health and illness in the aging adult. Quality of life, end-of-life decision making and palliative care issues are included. Needs of caregivers, aging adults and the resources available for meeting these needs are addressed. Focus is on advanced, comprehensive assessment, theoreticfal and research-based advanced nursing interventions to promote, maintain and restore health for the aging adult.
