CECS 202000 001 - Comp-TIA Security+ CEU: 4 hours This course is intended to expose the student to various security concerns involved in information technology and their associated network environment. A careful examination of security policies for accessing, handling, and storage of sensitive data is addressed. Emphasis is on the awareness of basic security risk and the detection and mitigation of data compromise. This course will include an exposure to software and, when applicable, hardware tools used to detect and or prevent unauthorized attempts to access data stored on workstations and network servers. The material covered in this course will help prepare the student to take the Comp-TIA Security+ certification exam, SY0-401*.
