EXS 2520 - Practice Management

This course focuses on the appropriate business practices that drive a successful practice. The students will learn medical billing, documentation guidelines, adherence to HIPAA standards, appropriate and professional communication skills, building patient rapport, policies and procedures for compliance with regulatory agencies, legal considerations surrounding patient care as well as time and project management skills. Additional discussions will discuss ethical practices in patient care as well as Scope of Practice and the responsibility of the involved caregivers.
