Introduction to literary research, the writing conventions of literary criticism, and the critical analysis of drama, prose fiction, and poetry. Required for the English major and minor. Prerequisite for the 3000-level courses in literary history and critical/cultural approaches to literature, and 4000-level capstone courses.
Prerequisite(s): WRT 1060 or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher and major or minor standing in English or creative writing.
