This course applies nutrition concepts to population groups at the community level. Students will learn how nutrition research methods are used to assess and provide surveillance of the nutritional status of the population, how this data is applied to community needs assessments, explore populations of special concern, and understand nutrition programs and policies to address the health of the population.
