SOC 4970 - Applying the Sociological Imagination

Revisits themes in race, class, gender, and inequality to explore ways they can be applied beyond the institution of the university. Addresses practical skills related to careers that draw on the sociology degree. Restricted to sociology majors. Satisfies the university general education requirement for the capstone experience. Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in general education or the major, not both. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement.
Prerequisite(s): WRT 1060  or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher and (SOC 2000 , SOC 2010  and SOC 2020 )
