PFP 37000 - Survey/Personal Financial Planning This Introductory Course provides an overview of the career-opportunities available to individuals interested in the profession of Personal Financial Planning as well as the principles and analytical techniques used in personal financial planning. Topics to include: Overview of the Financial Planning Process, Regulatory Ethical Issues, Time Value of Money, Budgeting and Debt Management, College Funding, Risk Management, Economic Overview, Investments, Taxes, Retirement and Estate Planning. The “business” of financial planning will also be discussed, including: Business Structures, Business Models, and Compensation Systems. Preparation for and participation in the co-requisite internship course will be discussed.
