BIO 3500 - General Microbiology (4) Concepts include microbial metabolism and physiology, genetics and genomics, diversity and evolution, growth control and aseptic techniques, host-parasite relationships, and survey of human bacterial and viral pathogens. Emerging techniques and applications in molecular biology and genetic engineering will also be considered as they relate to microbiology. Not open to students who have taken BIO 3520 . Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisite(s): BIO 1200 and CHM 2340 , each with a grade of (C) or higher
