CHM 1430 - Chemical Principles (4) States of matter, atomic structure, bonding and molecular structure, chemical reactions. This course has common lectures with CHM 1440 . Students may not receive credit for both CHM 1430 and CHM 1440 . CHM 1430 does not satisfy the university general education requirement in the natural science and technology knowledge exploration area. Recommended preparation is three years of high school mathematics and one year of high school chemistry. Restricted to engineering and computer science majors. Prerequisite(s): Score of 22 or higher on ACT mathematics exam or score of 550 or higher on SAT mathematics exam or MTH 0662 with a grade of C or better or equivalent or placement above MTH 0662
