CSI 1200 - Introduction to Computing and Programming using Excel (4) An introduction to computers and programming. It introduces algorithms for applications that contain integrated development environments (IDE), such as Microsoft Excel’s IDE for Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Algorithmic topics include repetitive and decision structures, functions, subroutines, and ActiveX controls. Programming topics include application automation and presenting information programmatically. Laboratory. CSI 1200 is not intended for Information Technology majors. Students can receive credit for CSI 1200 or CSI 1210 , but not both. Offered fall, winter. General Education Requirement(s): Satisfies the university general education requirement in the formal reasoning knowledge foundation area.
