LIN 4334 - Language Acquisition

Provides an introduction to First and Second language (L1 & L2) acquisition. Topics include language acquisition theories, first language acquisition and stages of the acquisition process, language acquisition in atypical circumstances, and second language/multilingual acquisition by both children and adults. Students are introduced to some of the basic tools of language acquisition research. Meets with LIN 5334; credit will not be received for both LIN 4334 and LIN 5334.
