Learn to create music on your laptop using a digital audio workstation to make short pieces and larger songs. Covers the essential aspects of computer music including MIDI sequencing and notation, basic audio recording, beat making, audio manipulation, automation, sharing sessions and file conventions, and changing your sound with digital effects. No prior experience reading or writing music is required.
General Education Requirement(s): Satisfies the university general education requirement in the knowledge applications integration area. Prerequisite for knowledge applications integration: completion of the general education requirement in the arts knowledge exploration area.
