HS 4440 - Healing Traditions (3) This course examines the historical evolution of healing practices over time in both traditional Western and Eastern medicine. Focus is on the role of societal norms in how beliefs, religion, culture, and traditions change the delivery and response of health-care systems to new and alternative healing modalities. Critically exams the origin, evolution, applications, and degree of acceptance of these different healing traditions from both the Western and Eastern health perspectives. Prerequisite(s): HS 3410 with a minimum grade of D.
