Study abroad course in Berlin in which German contemporary dance is explored through dance classes, concerts, lectures, and site visits. Connections between the arts and historical, cultural and political events are examined. The transnational exchange of ideas between Germany and America, which enabled the formation of contemporary dance, is addressed.
