CDS 4600 - Molecular Mechanisms of Bacterial Pathogenesis (3) This course explores the ongoing battle between pathogenic bacteria and their hosts at a cellular, molecular, and genetic level. Topics covered: common and distinctive features of bacterial pathogenic mechanisms, virulence factors and molecular regulation during the infection course; host defense mechanisms; molecular genetic methods; and medical important causative agents. Meets with CDS 5600. Credit will not be received for both CDS 4600 and CDS 5600. Prerequisite(s): CDS 3300 or CDS 4300 or BIO 3520 or BIO 3500
