MIS 4600 - Deep Learning and Text Analytics

This course provides an introduction to deep learning and text analytics. It covers a range of topics from basic neural networks, convolutional and recurrent neural network structures, deep unsupervised and reinforcement learning. It also discusses concepts related text analytics such as natural language processing, topic extraction, content management and sentiment analysis. A variety of tools and platforms such as Python, SAS Viya, TensorFlow/Keras, and PyTorch, will be used for building and testing deep learning models. Meets with MIS 5600. Credit will not be provided for both MIS 4600 and MIS 5600.
Additional Requirement(s): Knowledge of Python programming preferred
Prerequisite(s): MIS 3050 or have completed a course in programming.
