The course provides a basic knowledge of a range of issues in medical education. These range from the practical issues of teaching large or small groups and using technology and audiovisual aids to issues that need a deeper understanding of theory, such as curriculum theory, pedagogy, transformative learning, and mentoring among others. Scholarship and research of medical education will also be introduced. Most teaching will be 2 hour face-to-face seminars twice monthly. Follow-up discussions online will require about 1 hour per week.
