Introduction to machine vision and hands-on experience to solve real-life vision problems.Topics include image formation (impacts of lighting and optics), image processing, feature detection and matching feature-based alignment. Introduction to neural networks and machine learning, and their use in image processing. Industrial applications for machine vision, gauging, inspection, guidance, identification. Programming with MATLAB, Python, and OpenCV along with laboratory-based projects. Meets with ECE 5510. Credit will not be granted for both ECE 4510 and ECE 5510.
