The course covers the fundamentals of design and operation of microgrids including generation resources, demand response, hierarchical control of microgrids, protection, reliability, and resiliency of microgrids, optimal operation and control of microgrids, regulation and policies pertaining to microgrids, interconnection for microgrids and power quality of microgrids. Offered with ECE 5625. Credit will not be granted for both ECE 4625 and ECE 5625.
