Technology has played a critical role in all human evolution. This course provides an historical overview of the ways in which culture has shaped technology and how technology changes cultures. It emphasizes the impact of technology on modern cultures, especially technology emanating from the Western industrial revolution.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite for knowledge application integration: completion of the general education requirement in the Social Science or Western Civilization Exploration areas.
