This course instructs students how to develop unbiased and objective assessment instruments and techniques for authentic/performance assessments, formative and cornerstone assessments, rubrics, and selected- and constructed-response tests. It examines appropriate and inappropriate test-preparation practices, the evaluation of instruction, and assessment-based grading for when grades are required.
