MTH 5076 - Abstract Algebra II

(4 credits)

Polynomial rings, irreducibility of polynomials, field theory, solving polynomial equations, introduction to Galois theory and applications. MTH 5076 is cross-listed with an undergraduate course, MTH 4076. Student cannot receive credit for both courses.
