Introduction to the fundamentals of classical thermodynamics and heat transfer, first and second laws of thermodynamics, thermodynamic property relationships;, application to engineering systems and processes, introduction to conduction, convection and radiation, steady 1-D conduction and extended surfaces and lumped capacitance method. Offered fall and winter.

Prerequisite(s):  CHM 1440 PHY 1510 , and EGR 1400
