DES 1150 - Foundations of Typography

Students will learn the fundamentals of typography such as letterform anatomy, type classifications and pairings. Typographic history will also be covered, as well as how to work with letters, words, and sentences to create typographic hierarchies. Emphasis is on type as form.
Prerequisite(s): ART 1002  and DES 1100
