The mission of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is to empower everyone to learn cutting edge computing skills through hands-on and foundational education and research to meet real-world challenges in Michigan and beyond. To serve that mission, the department is offering separate undergraduate majors in Computer Science, Information Technology and Cybersecurity. The department also offers masters programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and a Ph.D. program in Computer Science and Informatics. The undergraduate programs in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering are accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.
