Modern Language, Modified, with Select Majors and Minors

Requirements for the modified liberal arts major in a modern language with majors or minors in economics, business, international management, engineering, computer science or computing, B.A. program
Modified majors are available in French, German, Japanese and Spanish with majors or minors in economics, general business, international management, engineering, computer science or computing. (Students with majors or minors in one of the other professional schools may petition the department for a modified major.) The requirement in French, Japanese or Spanish is a minimum of 24 credits at the 3000-4000 level; in German it is 28 credits. Students should note the credit hour restriction for the minors in economics or business. At least 16 credits of those required for the modified liberal arts major in a modern language must be taken at Oakland University. Regression Policy
Students will not receive credit for a lower sequence course after successful completion of a more advanced level course. For example, students will not receive credit for FRH 1140 (or transfer course equivalent) if taken after successful completion of FRH 1150. |
