Requirements

The minor in Applied Geographic Information Science (GIScience) provides a framework to understand theories, methods and techniques associated with geospatial technologies. Students then learn to apply GIScience and spatial technologies in real-world situations through a choice of directed study, fieldwork or internship opportunities.

To earn a minor in Applied GIScience, students must complete a minimum of 20 credit hours as follows:

AN 3581 - Archaeological Field School (4 OR 8)
AN 3995 - Directed Geospatial Research (4)
AN 4950 - Internship in Applied Geographic Information Science (4)
