Requirements for the liberal arts minor in Italian

20 credits of Italian (IT) at the 2000 level and above from any of the following courses.

• IT 2140 - Second Year Italian I (4)
• IT 2150 - Second Year Italian II (4)
• IT 3140 - Italian Grammar Review (4)
• IT 3160 - Italian Conversation and Composition (4)
• IT 3510 - Italian Civilization (4)
• IT 3550 - Translation into English (4)
• IT 3570 - Italian Business Communication (4)

• *Students who place out of IT 2140 or 2150 can complete the 20 credit requirement with any of the courses listed above

Note

At least 12 credits of those required for the minor in any of the languages must be taken at Oakland University.

Regression Policy

Students will not receive credit for a lower sequence course after successful completion of a more advanced level course. For example, students will not receive credit for IT 1140 (or transfer course equivalent) if taken after successful completion of IT 1150.
