Requirements for a liberal arts minor in sociology

To earn a minor in sociology, students must complete a minimum of 20 credits in sociology, distributed as follows:

1. Core course

SOC 1000 - Introduction to Sociology (4) or SOC 1010 - Introduction to Sociology through Health and Medicine (4)

2. A minimum of 16 additional credits in sociology, 12 of which must be at the 3000-4000 level

Applicable Majors

All Majors can declare this Minor with the exception of the following Major(s): Sociology, Sociology, B.A., Concentration in Linguistics, and Sociology/Anthropology.
