Schedule of Classes
Specific offerings for each semester may be found in the Schedule of Classes. General Education Requirements
In order to graduate on-schedule without taking additional courses, it is highly recommended that students meet with an Undergraduate Academic Adviser concerning the selection of all of their general education courses. Each candidate for an Oakland University baccalaureate will need to satisfactorily complete approved courses in each of the following areas: Foundations, Explorations, and Integration. To earn the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in German Language and Literature, students must complete 44 credits in German and European literature, of which 36 credits must be at the 3000 and 4000 levels in German (GRM) or Modern Languages (ML). ML 3800 can replace either GRM 3710 or GRM 3810 as a required course. If ML 3800 has not been taken as a replacement for GRM 3170 or GRM 3810, students may take ML 3800 as an elective. Additional program information
Students planning graduate work are strongly urged to study a second foreign language recommendation by the department. At least 16 credits of those required for the major in any of the languages must be taken at Oakland University. |
