Recreation Leadership Minor

This minor is designed to provide students with skills, adaptability, and creativity for working in a variety of recreational settings. The curriculum has been carefully designed to include theory and practical application. A minimum of 16 credit hours is required for a minor in Recreation Leadership.

Special offerings for each semester may be found in the Schedule of Classes.

Requirements for the minor in Recreation Leadership


*HS 2000 and HS 2050 are prerequisites for PH 3500 and WHP 3600,  WRT 1060 is a prerequisite for PH 3500

Grade point policy


Recreation Leadership minors must achieve minimum course grades of C+ in all required minor courses. If a student earns a final course grade below the minimum, they should meet with their academic adviser and must repeat the course in which the unsatisfactory grade was earned.
