Specific offerings for each semester may be found in the Schedule of Classes. Requirements for the Certificate in Japanese Competency
A competency certificate will focus on basic cultural competency and communication in limited professional settings. Students qualify for a Certificate in Japanese by completing 12 credits at the 2000-3000 level in Japanese (JPN). A minimum of 6 credits must be at the upper division level (course numbers 3000 or above). Note
Students interested in this certificate should contact an adviser in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Credits earned for a language certificate may be applied, as appropriate, to a major or minor in the same language. |
