The Department of Theatre currently offers two certificate programs:
- Certificate in Directing
- Certificate in Playwriting

Specific course offerings for each semester may be found in the Schedule of Classes. Certificate in Directing - 15 credit minimum
The Department of Theatre’s Certificate in Directing is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in stage directing. The program offers both foundational courses in directorial technique and collaboration, while providing opportunities to apply these skills in practical situations. Requirements for the Certificate in Directing - 15 credits
Students qualify for the Certificate in Directing by completing 15 credits from the courses listed below.
Students who are completing a BA in Theatre, may apply THA 3003 and THA 4005 to the certificate. Students who are completing a BFA in Acting or Theatre Design and Technology may apply THA 4005 to the certificate. Required courses - 13 credits
Students must complete the following 13 credits in coursework: Electives - 2 credits
