Combined French Language and Literature, B.A./Local Government Management, Graduate Certificate
The Combined French Language and Literature, B.A./Local Government Management, Graduate Certificate option is designed for high achieving undergraduate students pursuing a B.A. in a world language who wish to pursue a career in Local Government Management.
Students admitted to this combined program can take any 6 credits of graduate-level courses from the graduate certificate while still an undergraduate and pay undergraduate tuition rates. Within the B.A. requirements, these 6 credits would replace any two courses that fulfill the French Language and Literature B.A. However, one 4000 level course from following is still required: FRH 4160, FRH 4170, FRH 4190, FRH 4200, FRH 4970. For students pursuing this B.A./certificate program, students do not need to compensate for the 2-credit difference in the major.
To be eligible for the combined BA to Graduate Certificate option, students must
- Have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher and;
- Completed at least 3 upper-level classes of the undergraduate program major courses;
- Apply for and receive delayed admission to the Graduate Certificate.
Note: Students must receive formal delayed admission into the Graduate Certificate program to be eligible to register for graduate courses in the Graduate Certificate program.
